CRI is operated by the
Missionary Sisters of the Holy
Ghost for the purpose of promoting the principles of
Catholic Action and for working for the Restoration of the traditional
Roman Catholic Faith. CRI was founded as the main apostolate of the
Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Ghost to answer
questions arising in the unique situation we find ourselves in, as regards the
Church and society today. Its purpose is to carry on the mission of the Church
and educate the laity, through the use of small leaflets, booklets, and audio
cassettes. This Institute provides a Roman Catholic response to the errors
of our age. CRI offers learned and devout research in response to the ever
growing presence of Indifferentism, Modernism and new-age Behaviorism.
Finally, the Institute was founded to help restore our Holy Catholic Faith, by
printing and distributing literature on topics of our times, to teach the
Catholic laity the importance of living the entire Catholic Faith, seven days a
week, and not just returning to the Latin Mass on Sunday. The Mass is
important, as the heart of our faith, but we must teach the faith in its
entirety. We must lead people away from just being Sunday Catholics.
Look in our Online Catalog section
for a complete selection of our aids for learning, living, and sharing our Roman
Catholic Faith.
CRI is a unique source for the writings of
Patrick Henry Omlor,
an important apologist in our age for the Roman (Tridentine Latin) Mass. We have
re-printed nearly all of his writings in opposition to the changes to the Roman
Mass in the Novus Ordo Missae of Paul VI. We also offer a
newly-published compendium of all his writings entitled The
Robber Church. His writing style is clear, and his arguments are
concise. The disastrous and heretical changes in the Mass following the Second
Vatican Council are well explained in his works. All of Mr. Omlor's works, in
single form, are produced solely by CRI with his
permission.
Having a
candle lit for your intention is one
way of assuring that your intentions are remembered in a special way. Ask the
Sisters to light one for you before one of their shrines and to pray for your
intentions. Likewise, having Masses offered for your intentions is another
source of grace. Enroll today in the
Missionaries of the Holy Ghost Mass Guild
or in the Perpetual Mass Guild, and you
and your loved ones will be remembered at a special Mass on the third Sunday
(Mission Sunday) of each month.
