4-H Symbols and Traditions
The
4-H emblem is a green four-leaf clover with a stem and the letter "H"
in white or gold on each leaf. Green, nature's common color, is emblematic of
springtime, life and youth. White symbolizes high ideals. The four H's represent
the Head, Heart, Hands and Health. These signify a unique characteristic of 4-H.
The emblem was registered with the United State Patent Office in 1924.
