Davenport Washington 

Davenport is a rural farming community. We are located 36 miles west of Spokane, on Highway 2. Annual acitivtes include the Pioneer Days, Lincoln County Fair, and Hometown Christmas.

Pioneer Days: held the third weekend of July, includes events such as a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, car show, parade, and activities in the park.

Lincoln County Fair: held the last week of August gives local people the chance to exhibit vegetables, livestock, arts and crafts,and various other events.

Hometown Christmas: held the weekend after Thanksgiving, this event brings the spirit of Christmas to the community, with the tree lighting, and caroling, and chili feed.

     Davenport High School has a boys and girls basketball team, a volleyball team that places in state, a wrestling team that took three guys to state this year, a boys baseball team, a girls softball team, and a track team.

     Our high school also has great voices in the choir, like Dallas Reed, first place in the solo small ensemble contest.

     Davenport is the County seat of Lincoln County and has a court house that was built in ???? and was burned down in 1995 by an angered high school student whose name will remain anonymous.  It was rebuilt and made up to current codes.
