To change this in Windows ’95, double click on the My Computer icon and then double click on your Dial up Networking folder. There should be two icons in the folder. One will say Make New Connection and the other one will say SISNA. Highlight the SISNA icon and click on the right mouse key and go to where it says properties. A window will pop up that contains the dial up phone number as well as your modem information. Now go to the Server Types tab and push the TCP/IP Settings button. On the window that pops up, change your primary DNS to 216.64.180.11 and your secondary DNS is 207.170.227.121. Now click OK and click OK again on the next pop-up window.

Once this is completed, you should be in the My Computer icon. Now, open up the Control Panel folder and locate and open the Network icon. Now, highlight where it says TCP/IP and click on properties. If you have more than one item that says TCP/IP, highlight the one that says TCP/IP dial up adapter. From there go to the DNS configuration tab. If this is disabled, you do not need to enter anything in. Click OK and then Click OK again and you are done. If it is enabled, remove the settings that entered in under DNS server search order. Enter in 216.64.180.11 and click on add. In the same box, enter in 207.170.227.121 and click on add.

Now click on the Gateway tab. If a Gateway is installed, go ahead and remove it. Now click OK, then click OK again. A window will come up and asking you to re-boot your computer. Click Yes and your computer will reboot. When everything comes back up, try to connect again.

If you are using Windows 3.X, open up your dialer and click on Properties. Then go to the Service Provider or TCP/IP tab. Change the primary DNS to 216.64.180.11 and the secondary DNS to 207.170.227.121.

Delete the numbers that are in there and enter in the primary DNS of 216.64.180.11, put in a space and then enter in the secondary DNS of 207.170.227.121. Click OK and exit out of Trumpet.
