Our purpose here at HPP inc. is to provide a bicycle that truly fits the human form. A bike that can be ridden without creating pain and injury to the human body. We entered the bicycle industry introducing hand built recumbents which were designed and engineered to meet the needs of a wider range of people. Our bikes are a result of several years of listening to reasons why some people do not ride bikes. There seemed to be three main reasons why, these reasons include, back and neck pain from leaning over to reach the handlebars, numbness in the fingers and arms and last butt not least, a big pain in the rear. Our goal was to do everything we could to eliminate these factors and have a very anatomically friendly bicycle. If you are tired of contorting your body to fit a standard bike then the HPP inc. recumbent line is for you. After several years of research and development and building our recumbents for professional tourists, and those seeking serious two wheeled human powered transportation, we have now perfected a high quality, low cost design that we have now made available to the public.
The new HPP R-21 design not only helps eliminate the painful pressure and stress points normally associated with standard bicycles, but is a pleasure to operate. The riders are now cradled in a firmly padded high back seat that cups the shoulders to help keep excellent posture even while pushing hard into the pedals. The center of the crank is located below the hip line to relieve lumbar strain, and the handlebars are located where your arms naturally fall at your side. These main changes and others, made this recumbent so comfortable people that swore they could never ride bikes again are out enjoying the fun and freedom of cycling once more.
