Spokane Chapter No. 1, Washington State Society of Sons of the American Revolution, was chartered February 1, 1894. The officers for the year of 1999 are: President--William Peachee; vice-president--Richard Howard; Secretary/Historian--John Ellingson, Sr.; Treasurer--Alston Daniels; Genealogist--Dean Clay; Chaplain--Norman Park; Trustees--Richard Howard and Larry Beck; Junior Past President--Dean Ladd.

Spokane Chapter No. 1 is the only chapter east of the Cascades in Washington and serves this area of the state. The meetings are held at noon on the second Friday of each month from September through June at JUST LIKE HOME, 202 W. 3rd Avenue, Spokane, WA 99201, (509) 747-4500.
